Brief Description

Gulabi Kantha Trek is very famous trek in Yamuotri valley in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Gulabi kantha trek situated at an altitude of 4000 meters above the sea level. This place offers Himalayan mountain range and a beautiful view of sunrise and sunset. Gulabi Kantha is a moderate trek. The Gulabi Kantha covered by wild flowers , lush green meadows , Oak ,deodorant trees, and vast variety of Flora and Fauna and Trekkers get to witness the beauty of this trek.

On the way of this trek you see cattle grazing in the grassland accompanied by shepherds. This trek has a unique charm because of the highland meadows.

Gulabi Kantha provides 360 degree view of the Himalayan mountain range such as Bandarpunch peak, Shivalik mountains range, Bali pass, Sarutal range and fachu kandi pass.

Participant Eligibility and Health Requirements for the Trek

Age Limit:
Participants from 08 years and above are welcome to join the Trek.

Experience Level:
First-timers are encouraged to apply, and while previous trekking experience is appreciated, it is not mandatory.

Physical Fitness:
Participants should be capable of carrying a 12 kg Rucksack (backpack). Fitness is crucial, and climbers must possess sufficient stamina to cover a distance of 4 km in 32 minutes without experiencing undue stress.

Health Requirements:
– Resting pulse rate: 60 to 90 beats per minute
– Blood Pressure: Diastolic 75 – 85 mm Hg, Systolic 100 – 130 mm Hg
– Resting respiratory rate: 12 to 20 breaths per minute
– No history of liver and kidney issues
– Absence of Diabetes Mellitus, Bronchial Asthma, Epilepsy, Heart problems, Hypertension, etc.
– No existing health issues that might adversely impact the participant during the trek
– BMI under 25 (Exceptions for individuals with heavy bone density and those regularly engaged in weightlifting exercises)

Pre-Existing Conditions:
Participants with any pre-existing medical conditions or those currently on medication must declare it in the Self Declaration form.

Special Casual Leave for Government Employees:
Parvat Exploration, a registered adventure tour operator, allows government employees to avail of Special Casual Leave (SCL) for up to 30 days in a calendar year, as per the rules of the Pay Commission. This benefit applies when participating in trekking or mountaineering expeditions organized by a registered adventure organization like Parvat Exploration.

Special Note for Junior Trekkers:
For participants below 15 years, a parent or guardian must accompany them. Trekkers aged 15 to 18 can participate solo but must provide a signed disclaimer form from a parent or guardian.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Hanuman Chatti (2200 M) from Dehradun via Barkot.

Your exploration begins as you get picked up from the Dehradun rly station and arrive in the charming Hanuman Chatti, situated at an elevation of 2200 meters.

Take in the rustic beauty of the village, surrounded by the majestic Himalayan landscape.

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and acclimatize to the altitude.

Meet your trekking guide for a briefing on the upcoming adventure. Spend the evening exploring the village, interacting with locals, and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.

Rest well for the journey ahead.”

Day 02: Hanuman Chattti to Channi Camp  (2800 m) via Nishni Village

Embark on your trek from Hanuman Chatti to  Channi Camp (2800 M after a hearty breakfast via Nishni Village.

The trail will take you through dense forests, offering glimpses of diverse flora and fauna.

As you ascend, the landscape changes, and you’ll witness stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 03: Channi Camp to Seema Thatch (3300 m)

Reach Seema Thatch, a picturesque meadow at an elevation of 3300 meters.

Set up camp in this serene location, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and a night under the starlit sky.

 

Day 04:Early Morning Summit Gulabi Kantha (3785 m) & Back to Seemathatch.

Begin your day before dawn for an early morning summit to Gulabi Kantha, reaching an elevation of 3785 meters.

The ascent to the summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks bathed in the first light of the day.

Take some time to soak in the serenity and capture the beauty of the surroundings.

Descend back to Seema Thatch for a well-earned rest.

Spend the afternoon exploring the area or simply relaxing at the campsite.

Enjoy another night surrounded by the tranquility of Seema Thatch.”

Day 05:Descend From Seema Thatch to Hanuman Chatti.

After breakfast, begin your descent from Seema Thatch back to Hanuman Chatti.

The downhill trek allows you to enjoy the changing landscapes at a leisurely pace.

Take the time to absorb the beauty of the region and perhaps interact with locals along the way.

Arrive back in by late afternoon.

Rest, celebrate the successful summit, and relish the memories of your adventure.

Day 06 :Depart From Hanuman Chatti  to Dehradun.

On the final day, bid farewell to the serene Hanuman chatti , Small Town.

Depart for Dehradun, cherishing the memories of your adventure in the Himalayas.

The journey back allows for reflection on the experiences and the sense of accomplishment from summiting Gulabi Kantha.

Arrive in Dehradun, marking the end of your exploration.Depart with a heart full of memories and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the mountains.
