Over six days, you’ll trek from Partha Village to the picturesque Kunjikhet, moving on to the enchanting Bhekaltal and the stunning Brahmatal Lake, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to canoe. The trek culminates with a descent to Ratgaon, wrapping up with unforgettable views of the majestic Himalayan peaks. Day 1: Rishikesh/Kathgodam to Partha Village (2370 M) 230 Km Drive
Your journey begins with a drive from Rishikesh or Kathgodam to Partha Village, a serene village nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas. The drive will offer you stunning views of the Himalayan landscape, passing through quaint villages and dense forests.
Day 2: Partha Village (2370m) and Trek to Kunjikhet (2730m) 6 Km Trek ; 4-5 hour
After breakfast, embark on a short drive to Partha village, situated at an elevation of 2370 meters. From Partha, the trek begins, taking you through dense forests of oak and rhododendron as you gradually ascend to Kunjikhet, located at 2730 meters. This 8-kilometer trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and peaks, setting the tone for the adventure ahead. You’ll camp at Kunjikhet, surrounded by the pristine beauty of the Himalayas.
Day 3: Kunjikhet to Bhekaltal to Brahmatal | 6 km ; 4-5 hours
Today’s trek will take you from Kunjikhet to Bhekaltal, a serene high-altitude lake nestled amidst the mountains. After a brief stop at Bhekaltal, continue trekking towards Brahmatal, a stunning alpine lake surrounded by snow-clad peaks. The trail offers panoramic views of the Garhwal Himalayas, and as you reach Brahmatal, you’ll be greeted by the tranquil beauty of the lake. Set up camp near the lake, where you’ll spend the night under the starry sky.
Day 4: Trek to Brahmatal Top & Return to Rithing Campsite | 8 Kms ; 6-7 Hours
On Day 4, the trek takes you from the campsite to the majestic Brahmatal Top, standing tall at 3,750 M. The day begins early, allowing you to catch the mesmerizing sunrise that bathes the Himalayan peaks in golden hues. The trail gradually ascends through dense forests of rhododendron and oak before opening up to a spectacular panorama of towering mountains, including Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti. As you reach the summit, the view of the frozen Brahmatal Lake, surrounded by the mighty peaks, is simply awe-inspiring. After soaking in the beauty and capturing the moment, you’ll begin your descent, retracing your steps back to the Rithing Campsite at 3000 Mtrs . The descent is a relaxed journey through the serene landscape, offering you a chance to reflect on the adventure and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The day ends with a warm meal at the campsite, where you can unwind and share stories of the trek with your fellow adventurers.
Day 5: Trek to Ratgaon & Dispersal | 3 Kms ; 1 Hour then drive of 7 Hours 230 Kms
After a peaceful morning at Brahmatal, begin your descent towards Ratgaon. The trail takes you through dense forests and picturesque landscapes, offering occasional glimpses of the towering Himalayan peaks. Ratgaon, a quaint village, marks the end of your trek. After having a Tea & Snacks, drive back to Rishikesh or Kathgodam, concluding your memorable trek. The journey back will be filled with memories of the breathtaking landscapes and the serene beauty of Brahmatal.
