Brief Description
Dayara Bugyal offers the widest snow scene in Uttarakhand and is the perfect picture of the Himalayan winter. Bugyal, which, as the name suggests, means “meadow”.
In the summer, the alpine plains covered with Wild flowers turn into a visible snowfield in the winter. This expansive area offers unobstructed views of the lush forests and the fresh-snow-white Garhwal Himalayas, while the impressive 3,750m Dayara Bugyal above the mountain strolls the Gallery of Life.
The trek begins in the self-sufficient village of Raithal in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. More interestingly, this winter hike is full of surprises. These trails are simply lovely! scattered throughout the landscape, including Mt. Bandarpoonch (6,316M), Mt. Srikanth (6,133 M), Gangotri I (6,672 M), and Black Peak (6,387 M).
Impressive trails lined with oak, pine, and maple trees along with rhododendrons. From here you can get breathtaking views of the summit. Opposite the summit, Dayara Top offers breathtaking views of the Garhwal Mountains. This short hike also offers the chance to give gifts in the form of two mystical high mountain lakes. Gui Lake in the frozen landscape and Barnala Tal.
This short excursion across endless pastures is the perfect introduction to the Himalayan landscape for those wishing to explore the region.
