Brief Description

Located within the captivating vicinity of Bageshwar in Uttarakhand, Mount Baljuri is a snow-capped mountain positioned within proximity to the Pindari Glacier. This peak is at a lofty elevation of 5922 meters. The climb to Baljuri no longer requires legitimate expertise in technical hiking. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathgodam and Transfer to Almora

Arrive at Kathgodam in the morning and proceed to Almora. The journey covers 125 kms and takes approximately 4 hours. Check-in at a lodge in Almora for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Almora to Khati Village

After breakfast, transfer from Bageshwar to Khati Village. The day involves an 100-kilometer drive. Overnight stay in Khati Village.

Day 3: Khati Village to Dwali (2268m to 2655m)

Trek from Khati to Dwali after breakfast, traversing through panoramic landscapes of forests and green meadows. Spend the night at Dwali, situated at an altitude of 2655m.

Day 4: Dwali to Base Camp (2655m to 3340m)

Embark on a 6 to 7 hours trek from Dwali to Base Camp. The journey involves a gradual walk through Phurkiya Camp at 3110m. Enjoy an overnight stay in camps/tents at the Base Camp.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day at Base Camp

Take a day off for rest and acclimatization at the Base Camp. Relax and prepare for the upcoming challenges.

Day 6: Base Camp to Advanced Base Camp (3340m to 5120m) – Load Ferry and Back to Base Camp

Load the ferry in the morning and work with porters to push the load further up on the ridge. Proceed with the opening of Camp 1 and enjoy an overnight stay in the camps at Advanced Base Camp.

Day 7: Base Camp to Occupy ABC

Carry your own sacks to occupy Advanced Base Camp. Spend the night in the camps at Advanced Base Camp.

Day 8: Acclimatization Day at ABC

Another day for relaxation and acclimatization at the Advanced Base Camp.

Day 9: ABC to Summit Camp Route Open (Max Altitude – 5516m) and Back to ABC

After breakfast, load the ferry and work with porters to push the load further up. Proceed with the opening of the summit camp. Enjoy an overnight stay in the camps at Advanced Base Camp.

Day 10: ABC to Occupy Summit Camp at an Altitude of 5516m

Proceed towards the Summit Camp, open the camp, and enjoy an overnight stay at an altitude of 5516m.

Day 11 & 12: Reserve Days for Summit Attempt (Altitude – 5922m) and Descent to ABC

Attempt the summit between 3-4 am. Witness the magnificence of surrounding peaks and descend to Advanced Base Camp for an overnight stay.

Day 13: ABC to Base Camp

Descend from Advanced Base Camp to the Base Camp.

Day 14: Base Camp to Khati Village

Trek back to Khati Village from the Base Camp.

Day 15: From Khati Drive to Kathgodam.

Early Morning Drive from Khati to Kathgodam , 225 Km 9 hours

Day 16: Buffer Day

A day reserved for any unexpected delays or contingencies. Use this day as needed.

Meals during the trek: Coverage from dinner on Day 1 to Breakfast on Day 15/16 ensures participants are provided with necessary sustenance throughout the trek.
Forest Permits/Camping Charges: covering permits and charges for camping in the designated forest areas.
Accommodation: 4 Season Tents on a triple-sharing basis, Thermal rated sleeping bags, and mats are provided for a comfortable and restful night’s sleep. Guest house/lodge/Homestay stay in Almora on Day 1 & in Khati on day 2& 14/15  are also included.
Support Staff: Experienced trek guides, cooks, helpers, and mules or porters are included for carrying common supplies, facilitating a smoother trekking experience.
Expedition Leader: A IMF approved Expedition Leader.
Transportation: Kathgodam to Khati & Khati to Kathgodam Transport included.
Technical Equipment – PP Ropes, Helmet, Ice Axe, Crampons, Mountaineering Boots, Snow Stake, Dead Man/Boy
Peak Booking Fee Charges (upto the amount charged for Indian nationals)

IMF Peak Booking Fee for foreign nationals US$ 700 for a team of two members and US$ 325 for every additional participants
Forest Permit / Camping Fee for foreign nationals (USD 880-1000 upto group of 10)
Mandatory Liaison Officer Fee for foreign expeditions ( ~USD 500 for group of 10)
Any cost arising out of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, landslides, road conditions and any other circumstances beyond our control.
